DIGITAL TRUST & PAPERLESS

Digitisation and electronic signature

6th October 2021 | The Congress Centre of the CNB | Prague

The eighth anual Digital Trust & Paperless conference traditionally brings a comprehensive legislative and technical perspective on the field of digitalisation, based on the phenomenon of digital trust and paperless operation. Together with leading experts, explore the legal, normative and technical aspects as well as the practical experience of digitisation in corporate and public law practice. The accompanying programme will offer you the opportunity to discuss your own digitisation challenges with the experts and technology suppliers present in one-on-one conversations.

The central theme of the conference is electronic signature – the expression of will in electronic legal transactions. Different ways of implementation as well as the possibilities of using modern external e-signature services will be presented in detail and the context of electronic identification.

The main challenge of digitalisation is not technical details, such as the actual electronic signature, but providing a good user experience of the digital process. User-centricity is becoming a key success factor for digitalisation projects. The necessary digital trust services as defined by the eIDAS regulation and the Trust Services Act can be seen as an infrastructure problem solved by a number of certified products and solutions. The current challenge is to integrate them in a user-friendly way into the daily activities of users using their digital identities. Since the first signatures on clay tablets, emotions have been associated with the act of signing, which need to be replicated electronically for the full user experience, while accepting the technical limitations and meeting the requirements of electronic legal transactions.
