In 1870, the entrepreneur Moritz Gröbe built his summer residence and developed an English park in its neighborhood. The two-story mansion in the Italian Renaissance style was designed by Antonín Barvitius and built by František Havel in 1871–88. The interiors were designed by Josef Schulz. The facade under the roof of the building is decorated with a fresco with child motifs by the painter Kugle. The decoration of the interiors was done by the sculptor Detemar. The mansion has a huge terrace on the ground floor, connected by a double staircase with the vineyard of St. Clara. From the ground floor, there is a beautiful view of the southern part of the city.
